Day 30 Reading (READ Proverbs 30)

(The text below is only part of the chapter. I encourage you to read the ENTIRE chapter when you walk through this plan. If you do not have a bible, you can find the text using THIS online bible link.)

The words of Agur son of Jakeh. The oracle.[a]

The man declares, I am weary, O God;
    I am weary, O God, and worn out.[
b]
Surely I am too stupid to be a man.
    I have not the understanding of a man.
I have not learned wisdom,
    nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.
Who has ascended to heaven and come down?
    Who has gathered the wind in his fists?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment?
    Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son's name?
    Surely you know!

Every word of God proves true;
    he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Do not add to his words,
    lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar.

Memory Verse: "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him." (Proverbs 30:5, ESV)

Devotional: Embracing the Truth of God's Word

Proverbs 30 offers the wisdom of Agur, focusing on the certainty of God's truth and the value of contentment. This chapter reminds us that God's Word is a shield for those who take refuge in Him. Let's embrace the reliability of God's promises and find contentment in His provision.

Application Questions:

1.    How do you anchor your life in the truth and reliability of God's Word?

2.    What steps can you take to cultivate contentment in your heart?

3.    How can you encourage others to find refuge and strength in God's truth?

Daily Prayer: Heavenly Father, I find refuge in Your Word, which proves true in every circumstance. Help me find contentment in Your provision and promises. Guide me to walk in the path of wisdom. In Jesus name, amen.
